Dr. Catherine Stanton, DVM

Dr. Catherine Stanton was born and raised in Connecticut. In 2003, she graduated from Auburn University with her degree in Veterinary Medicine. That same year she joined the Santa Cruz Animal Clinic team. In 2008, she made a horrible mistake and moved to Ocala. After 3 years she came to her senses and returned. Her clinical interest is in surgery and dermatology. Dr. Stanton has 5 rescue pets including 4 dogs, Cadbury, Skip, Socket, Jameson and Jake the cat. She also has an Eclectus parrot, Oscar and horse, Dylan.
Dr. Norman Busciglio, DVM

Dr. Norman Busciglio DVM was born and raised in Tampa, Fl. In his earlier years he worked on his family dairy farm. He graduated from St. Leo College with a bachelors degree before moving on to University of Florida to get his degree in Animal Science. In 1979 he graduated from Auburn University, were he got his Veterinary Medicine Degree. After graduating from Auburn he became an associate veterinarian and later partner with Dr. Roque Santa Cruz. Dr. Busciglio is a member of the American Veterinary Association, Florda Veterinary Medical Association, Hillsborough County Veterinary Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners and a associate member of the American Animal Hospital Association. Some of Dr. Busciglio's area of interest is Internal Medicine, Surgery and Dermatology.

Dr. D. Rex Gordon, DVM
Dr. Gordon is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with his Bachelor’s in Poultry Science in 1996 and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After practicing for 4 years in his hometown of Jonesboro, Georgia, he moved to St. Petersburg, FL, and decided to pursue a career in Emergency medicine and also became especially interested in ultrasound, internal medicine, and general surgery. After many years of being an emergency night owl, he rejoined the living in day practice. He has since worked throughout the bay area in both primary care and emergency care. He joined Santa Cruz Animal Clinic permanently in July 2014 and enjoys the relaxed family environment here, as well as working with Dr. Busiglio and Dr. Stanton (and Dr. Santa Cruz on occasion). An avid musician, he plays saxophone and classical and jazz piano. He also enjoys spending free time working on engines and home repair, fishing, kayaking. Particularly fond of larger dogs, he is an aficionado of Siberian Huskies and sled dogs. He and his partner have a small sled team of huskies at home.
